Yo, Dudes.....  I started playing the drums at 17 – spent many an hour playing along to either Led Zepplin or Parliament/Funkadilec – funk won in the end :-) This will be the 4th band I’ve been in with Steve on bass – we have a great musical synergy. We’ve done loads of local and not-so-local gigs playing funky sounds at pubs/air-bases/nightclubs, and have even been on the telly! I was out of the ‘playing live’ loop for a while, when it was thought that drum machines were taking over, then Brit-pop took over, but now I’m back, having been ‘persuaded’ by Steve to get involved – he’s promised he’d get me a seat at the gig!

I’m no drum technician, but know what sounds right for catchy, groovy, funk/dance tracks, to get you moovin’, and I like what I’m playing.

Main Influences  -

Of the drummers I can think of – Cozy Powell and Phil Collins – neither have influenced me!

Bands, though –

Parliament, Funkadelic, Slave, Average White Band, Chic, Level 42, Incognito, Shakatak (is that allowed?!), Basement Jaxx, Disclosure, melodic funky house music (various artists!).

Cuda Groove Essex band, Cu'da Groove Essex band, cudagroove Essex band, the smooth Essex based funk dance covers band for your next party or event.
